because I was concerned about the head size and how it would react with
the grove in the pulley.

Did he use only the legs and just put it around the crank and water pump,
or did
Don't know. He just said it didnt work. The belt he broke was the
alternator/pump belt, so he was only interested in those items as
opposed to the PS/AC stuff. Whether he tried to drive the alternator
or not I don't know. I drove only the water pump because that was all
I needed, and of course

When I still worked nights I had a driver call with a broken serp belt on his
truck (15L Detroit Diesel). I instructed him to turn everything electrical in
the cab off to conserve battery and drive to the closest shop open at night.
He was in BFE New York and the closest shop was around
