pretty good and is very quiet.

Bosch makes them both ways. In fact, we’ve already picked one out and the
question was handle versus flat face.

My dishwasher has been working 40 years, but was not new when I got
it. It does a great job washing dishes, and so far has not broken
down. It is not fussy about what kind of soap is used, but does seem
to prefer one brand. Dishes, pots, pans etc. all come out clean!
Most of the time you
Don't their washers have filters you have to clean out rather than a disposal?

They do, but they’re limited in what they can filter. If you dump dishes full
of soiled food in there nothing is going to come out clean, and you’re going to
have to clean out the filter, too.
Some of them have grinders that will chew up the bigger stuff, but again,
they’re not garbage
Mine does a pretty good job but I usually rinse stuff anyway, and pack
it rationally. My wife just sorta rakes stuff off the counter into the
machine so I have to go back and organize it so it gets clean.

Bosch actually make all the high end dishwashers for kitchenaid, thermador,
and everyone else. They clean ok but the door might as well be made of
cardboard. My two year old made short work of the hinge on that thing. Next
one will be Fischer and paykel double drawer, nothing else.

Before discarding that old Maytag I suggest the following if you have hard
water in your area:
1. Clean out your filter if it has one.
2. Check to be sure that it is draining properly by opening the door after a
drain cycle (before it re-fills) to see if all of the water is being drained
out.
