Funny that you should mention this, as it reminded me that I had the hood catch
on the S500 once and it ended up being that hood stop as well. It didn't keep
it from opening, but it caught the inside of the grille enough that it stopped
me from lifting the hood momentarily. When I started
So I messed with it for a bit and finally got the hood open. It was not hung up
at the release it was actually hung up on the hood stop on the passenger side
that points forward at the bottom. There appears to be no underlying damage
except for the bottom of the hood/grille shell pushed in. I
