All the strong oxidizers produce super oxide radicals in the presence
of oxygen. These supercharged oxygen atoms react with organic
molecules and add an oxygen atom in random places. This can cause
the molecule to split into other things, or cause distortions in
proteins, etc.

Haven't we been told through the years that many microbes and germs
die when exposed to air? It would seem plausible that the excess
oxygen in hydrogen peroxide (h2o2 versus h2o for water) should provide
good air clean against germs and microbes.
Another alternative is to use lavender oil

Don't know why it wouldn't be. I do know H2O2 goes bad
with storage, turning into water. It should foam when
poured on anything interesting. I think you'd have to
use a 'lot', though, since it foams out so quickly.

Common household bleach gets most kitchen germs. I mix a nice stiff

H2O2 is used to sanitize the inside of things like milk cartons

a dwell time of a few seconds.

30% hydrogen peroxide is fairly dangerous stuff -- tends to do things
