Cheap is a relative term
My comments were pointed at many of the consumer grade marketers that you see
in places like FLAPS where they are charging $18.00 for a clay bar and a spray
bottle full of soapy water.
In this regard, all things, for the most part, are equal.

You don't typically have puddles of the stuff, although that won't hurt
anything if you do, but if the clay sticks or stutters when you move it
across the surface it is indicative of inadequate lubrication.
