Small legal issue:
The burden of proof lays with the accusing party. The accused is protected
via Bill of Rights, 5th Article, from being forced to incriminate
themselves, and may legally choose to stand silent.
It appears governments prosecutor failed to produce proof beyond reasonable
doubt
Good point. When many people (including FBI instigators, I mean informants) were
there for many days, who did what and who can prove it?

I cringe when someone says "since the evidence was so clear" and the only
exposure to said "evidence" is what was reported by the media, which has
repeatedly failed to get the facts straight...
On the other hand.. perhaps you have a direct pipeline of evidence .. if
you do.. please share first
Maybe that they might have been guilty, but not of the crimes they were charged
with?

Prosecution screwed up big time in OJ trial, with chain of custody issues
for key evidence against a backdrop of police brutality against minorities,
plus a jury that was carefully vetted to include people inclined to be
sympathetic to OJ. I don't think the prosecutors blundered in the Bundy
case
Jury was in their corner. Feds are still going after the two sons for their
mischief in NV.

Andrew,
Since you have some connection to the situation (BLM) I am curious to know
your thoughts on the outcome of the trial with the Bundys and their
occupation of the Federal lands in Oregon.
I will say that I was stunned to see that they were acquitted
This entire chain of events is seen by a large part of the population as
classic government over reach.
Still to come is prosecution of the officers who shot and killed the
unarmed man who was part of the group driving to meet with government
officials.
It is a complicated case full of many
Just because you're not guilty doesn't mean we have to let you go while we
prepare to charge you with something else...

Damage?
