USPS for that size item will come truck freight, LTL [less than truck load] so it will be consolidated with other shipments and items going sort in the same direction, loaded, unloaded, reloaded, and sent out again for the next leg of the shipment to somewhere sort of in your direction Expect

I get a message that this welder has shipped this morning from AUBURNDALE, FL from an Amazon facility via the USPS. I guess that means I’ll see it in 3 months or so if it ever actually gets here. But on a positive note, shipping was free! --FT Sent from iFōn

The Lincoln Electric stick machine I am using at the college is a big nice machine, inverter with knobs for amps and other settings and some push buttons for stuff and digital numbers. I don’t recall the model --FT Sent from iFōn > On Feb 7, 2022, at 9:57 AM, Jim Cathey via Mercedes >

https://kickinghorsewelders.com/products/kickinghorse-a100-arc-welder I bought a Kicking Horse 110v stick welder a few years ago to use on my little loader project. I wanted something that could accomplish a little more penetration than my Lincoln HandyMIG could get. I've been very impressed

I try very hard to avoid Chinese made products so when I bought my tig welder a few months ago I went with a used Miller. If you want a cheaper chinky chow welder then maybe Everlast is your best bet. They have made a name for themselves and seem to be well regarded. Sent from my iPhone > On

From what I have heard/read, the low cost MIG welders all work fine in as much as they are just big transformers. Where they cheap out is in the quality of the wire feed mechanism, the gun/torch and cables. By the time you buy a cheap welder, then upgrade the gun, the gas hose, the ground

Reminds me of when, as a young college student, I built a set of speakers and thought it would be clever to use standard electrical extension cords as speaker wire, so I fitted standard 3-prong 120VAC connectors on the speaker cabinets. Very easy to unplug and move around as needed. Of course

I've been watching some vids about the machine and they seem to suggest the machine is quite decent for what it is and seems to be reliable in fairly heavy hobby use but who knows.  One guy posted a sheet for settings and yeah they say the manual is not very good.  Seems to be enough of them
