It's not that rebuilt have a bad reputation, but if a new master cylinder can
provide decades of reliable service, why try to save a few bucks? If saving $
is your plan, then get the kit and do it yourself
Yes. If their MBZ master cylinders are as poor quality of a rebuild as the
VW Beetle ones they sell then you are much better off with new ATE.

This is my only daily driver so taking it apart to determine if its rebuildable
is not really feasible. I'll go with new. I rely on this car too much too fool

Swapping a master cylinder is a quick and easy job. A very good justification
for a set of flare nut wrenches if you don't already own some. An
indispensable tool for any sort of work on solid lines, such as brake or fuel.
