“Dealer discounts” are often a total screw. They’ll quote you list plus 20% and
then give you a 10% “courtesy discount” to make you feel like you’re getting a

They jack it up and wiggle the tire, that'll tell you it needs a tie rod (or
steering rack I suppose) but you'd need to actually look at it to know which
one was bad. Same with ball joints.

I used to do the same and then got a run of truly awful wipers. The mid-range
ones seem pretty terrible too, Angie bought some a year or so ago, I can't
remember what brand but they were junk right out of the box. Thats when I
started buying Bosch, I've never had a bad set of them.
One thing I
I bought a set of wipers for the 211 but I could not figure out how to
get them to fit. I get them from Costco and put them on all the other
cars that have a hook on the end of the wiper arm, the wiper just slides
over it and locks on. This thing has some weird end, none of the
plastic
I never found that the expensive wipers lasted any longer than the cheap
ones. So for years I have bought the cheapest I can find, and keep a
spare set handy.
Maybe the high-end wipers are better now?
Good tip on RA closeouts. I will have to remember to check them. Just

We get slightly more than a year, maybe 14 months, not a whole lot more. Our

Can you get much more than a year out of your wipers? On the one hand your
wipers aren't called upon to move the weight of snow that ours are, on the
other hand Florida does get significant rain storms. Plus all the sun you get
has to be hard on 'em.
