I made that pic pretty small to fit within the msg limits, if anyone
wants a larger one I can send it along. The finish should pop out the
logo, and you can see to that the armrest does not collide with the mug.

I made rails that fit longitudinally along the sides of the tray, it
won't go sideways and you could move it fore/aft if you want to get it
out of the way when not using it. I made it about an inch or so above
the sides of the tray, just because that fit the cups fairly well. I
don't think
Looks good -
You could add a horizontal piece between the rails with a second hole
for the cup that would prevent the cup from tipping under heavy
braking. Stick some velcro hook material to the bottom of the rails to
stick to the carpet in the tray to keep it from sliding during
acceleration --
I'll have to try one on the TD, see how that acceleration throws that
cup to the back window! Oh my aching neck!!!. The cup fits tight
enough in the hole there that it won't tip. I got the boy a set of
travel mugs so just made the hole the right size to fit them at the
height of the top

I wanted to make a cup holder for the boy's SD, to fit in the console.
Is it the same size as the 123 console? Can anyone take a measurement?
Or I can wait til he gets here.
Someone sent me a piccie of one a few years back for the 123. I have my

I'm pretty sure that the console sizes of the 123, 124, 126 are all
different. I'd sure like to see what you come up with --

My car currently has the original hands free phone still installed.
Ours had one, and when removed left this threaded boss that was
screwed to the sidewall of the console. I just rigged one of
those springy plastic cup grippers to it, and it serves. It's
not even much in the way.

I was thinking that too after i sent the post earlier. The boy uses his
ipod in the car, a nice little pocket recess in the wood for it to sit

Mine has the cradle in the space under the arm rest. The wire for the

reason a wood cup or iTouch holder would be nice. The mic is attached to

I have a double walled stainless cup with a LARGE base that sits
nicely under the armrest (I always leave it down) in a 126, is snug in
the 124, and didn't fit in the 123. However, it is a pain to alway
pull it out from under the arm rest, especially if I have a passenger.
