forged crank and lower end. The head gaskets blew all the time, the head
design was just too cheap and cut things too close for a good seal. Heck, the

That was the crazy part. They wanted $3,500. I explained to the guy
that yes it is in great shape and it has low miles, but it was not a
dependable car. He said he had never had any problems. I told him I
might buy it for $1200 and he got a little mad and refused.

I heard that the H block code on those diesels were the blocks that had
all the problems fix, but a little late to save the GM diesel program. Of
course the 6.2 and other GM diesels did not help things.
