If I wanted somebody else to rebuild a Japanese gearbox for me, I'd get a
hold of Anthony Storey, who as best as I can remember had a shop in the
Indianapolis area when I last talked to him 15 years ago.
He dabbled in airguns and rifle scopes, but his main source of income was
wholesale

Found a salvage transmission on car-part.com available near here,
already out of the donor car and on a shelf. Supposedly about 75,000
miles on it. Mine failed at about 213,000 miles. So in theory that used
one should last the reasonable remaining life of the car.
Skimmed a video of removing the
DIY: I read through a blog of a fellow who rebuilt one (Mercedes), not
