I actually ordered that pin wrench. After a false start when I found
that the rebuild kit I ordered was missing a seal, and that there was in
fact a separate kit for the diaphagms, and that the gasket for the pump
itself was also a separate item, today I did the vacuum pump rebuild. I
found that

I once did almost that to make a tool to tighten the timing belt
The right size socket is what I used for a spacer.
