The first ML I drove had a huge exhaust leak under the hood and didn't want to
go, felt like massive torque converter slip. I think the guy wanted $1750 for

One factor is that '05 and earlier are body on frame, later ones are unibody. I
have an '02 320. I have read that leakage from the WW fluid can muck up the ABS
electronics. Also they can have the conductor plate issue. The fuel economy is
nothing to write home about!
