Most of the BioD produced in the US is shipped to the EU. Seems that
we cheapskates are unwilling to pay the 5.50 or so a gallon it would
be at retail in the US.
This is the wholesale price, FOB Plant as of 2 days ago:
Soy Biodiesel Additive B99.9 - 4.2800
To this is added shipping, $.50-.60

What's the downside of OVERinflating tires to improve fuel economy?

I'm not sure of others, but hydroplaning resistance is one of them. At
least according to the autocross school I went to... They said 40psi for
the track, but don't run that on the street.

Hard ride, poorer handling (i.e., safety), I don't know about wear.
What exactly do you tune up on a newer car? New plugs every 100k
miles? An air filter once a year? Maybe some injector cleaner now and
then if you use cheap gas?
The sad thing is that there are people out there who listen

Wear will be heavily on the middle. PSI depends more on the tire than
saying 40psi is to high for on the road. I run mine at 45psi because
they are mushrooms. Next time I will get a smaller sidewall.
Hydroplaning, I would think there would be less chance of it as the
contact patch would be smaller
Thanks - I worry about hydroplaning around here (D.C.), especially just
after it rains for the first time in a week or more. The moisture combines
with a residue of gasoline and oil built up on the road surface to create a
very slippery condition...

Well so what? So what if it's true, and we could save that amount of
