I think somepone should do the math as regards the fuel savings effect of
proper tire inflation nationwide. Then we can compare this with the
increased availability of gasoline and the timing its entry to market from
offshore
with a 92 Ford F150. YMMV literally.

MythBusters tested that tailgate up or down theory - while it sure
seems as
having the gate down would remove a big windcatcher

The issue is not whether it saves fuel because it does. My issue with Obama's
ridiculous statement was that it would save as much fuel as increased drilling.

Putting the tailgate down is a bad idea, especially with a newer truck that was
wind tunnel tested for efficiency with the gate up. The laminar

I run the right pressure. Bama didn't say to be sure tires are at
the right pressure. He said pump them up with more
air. Overinflate, just like his ego.
Overinflated tires may roll easier, and save a minuscule bit of fuel,
but carry other dangers. Tire damage, blowouts, loss of traction
Yea, I guess you could overinflate the tires, but then they would wear
out quicker, so it would take more oil to make more tires. That obamo
is sure a smart guy

Overinflated tires = more used tire sales for Okiebenz!

We really need to get this thread back on topic of some good bumper
stickers that KS Donald would proudly display on his Volvo that
from a distance, look like the normal volvo bumper stickers.
Or Look like what LT Don would display from a distance, but up close,
say what KS Donald would say.
