Oh the pulley on the tensioner broke. I thought it was the idler pulley when I
first read it. Might need to just replace the tensioner.

That’s not the idler, that’s the tensioner
Yeah. Tensioner. That’s what I meant. I have 2 idler pulleys for the 99 will
have to see if they are the same. I’m going to run and just get the pulley from
the stealer to get it running and home. Can deal with the other later

That’s not the idler, that’s the tensioner. Replace the idler anyway while
you’re there.
You can buy an OEM idler, Litens is the supplier - DO NOT BUY A Febi!! Litens
is about $90 from places like FCP Euro and others.

only had my phone light. I have those in my tool box. My buddy has a gate to
his vast estate just a 1/4 mi down the road, he says it’s parked in the
neighborhood redneck’s field driveway, so I’ll move it to his place
Maybe he’s talking about the “star” shaped drivers?

Yeah I’ll probably hit the stealer tomorrow to pick up a new one. Bah. I
think I need the splined tool to get it off. Max has one I guess I’ll have to
go get.

Hey, don’t sweat it - that’s an easy and relatively inexpensive repair. And you
knew it was coming…
Only buy the OE idler! No aftermarket!
