Wife test drove, among others today, a Honda Fit. I was greatly
disappointed
to find that it comes with rear drum brakes. I thought we'd be past

now. Oh, and if you want alloy wheels, get ready to shell out over
$1100 for

tailpipe.
Checked and it was about 1.5 qt. low on oil.
Filled it after it sat for a weekend
One thing Marshall was adamant about was letting a MB diesel seek it's own

I think the old insights get as much as 75mpg if you get the correct
model (manual transmission w/ lean burn)!

I don't see much choice in Mobil 1 here but when I go over the border into the
USA, I always look at WalMart to see
what they have.
Do I need to worry about the coding on the jugs or is any reasonably heavy
Mobil 1 going to be ok for my old 300D?
So far, I have just stuck with the Shell

While reading about the Shell Rotella I followed a link to Shell Diesel V
fuel where they stated Shell was a leader in GTL technology. This is the
1st I've heard about this technology. They built a 15,000 barrels/day

I would think that *somewhere* (MSDS perhaps?) the details you're looking
for would be available. i.e., a Grp IV vs Gr III base oil, right.
I'll look around. Maybe the lab tht does my Oil Analysis will know? I'll

I've seen different fuel system problems can cause white smoke, blue
smoke, or black smoke on a diesel - without burning oil or losing coolant.
Overfuelling results in black smoke, but you can also have a leaky
injector, poor spray pattern, over-advanced timing, or retarded timing.

The record of survivability is why all my family drives MBs. Both
the female members were in accidents that would have been quite
serious or deadly in a lesser veeehicle. Both walked away with no problems.
There is being dead, and there is ending up looking like a bambi run
over by a semi.
I saw something somewhere just a coupla days ago about that plant in
Qatar -- they create longer chains of stuff from natl gas (a lot of
which gets flared off I understand, so it is a waste product to some
extent), one of which is diesel.

Yes, I did try all wiper functions, without success. It is possible
that
the replacement fuse shorted out.
Also, having just recently fixed a problem due to a dirty
G102 under-dash ground connection, you could have a ground
problem.
