The '87 wagon has the Vickers dual pump for SLS and steering, right? Does it use the same fluid on both sides? No, not even close. The high pressure side runs at something like 10x the pressure of the steering, and the correct oil (MIL-PRF-5606H rated) pours like water. -- Jim

NO WAY! DOT 3 should NEVER touch your MB brake system. I will cheat with a lot of things, but NEVER, ever DOT3. DOT3 swells the rubber parts, you will have to replace Master, calipers and hoses. DOT3 boils easily, and can leave you without brakes in extreme cases. Noticeable fade in most
