Does anyone know how to take apart the console of a W124? I need to
replace the switches on our '95 E320 and looked at the way to do it
and found it wasn't obvious. The first difference between the W124
and the W123 is getting the sliding-lid compartment off -- I don't
see any hold-down screws in
I noticed that the LCA bushings have two opposing flat areas. Do the flats need
to be oriented in a specific way relative to the LCA?

When #1 daughter had my 300D (1987, 124) the battery would sometimes
discharge overnight, but not consistently. Since I got it back in
May, there has been no problem until Sat, when SWMBO went out and it
would not start. (~30 degrees) Turns out the battery was dead flat.
No light left on.

'Squirted it - working nice and easy since. Left front door was very stiff
when I got the 124 7+ years ago; gave it the squirt treatment; been fine
since. Right rear door on the 126 was stiff and noisy coupla years
My '81 300TD had a little rubber/plastic plug thing, I think my '83 240D has a
metal bung of some sort...
