Natural gas units will have a larger orifice for the burner, as natural gas has
a lower BTU value than propane.
Check with the manufacturer’s web site. They will have burner orifices for
propane that probably take about 30 seconds to change. Since it appears that
they have already been run

Any parts that deal with safety or security can only be sold with the owner
supplying appropriate documentation. Used to be just keys, ignition switches
and door handles, for example, now it’s a whole slew of things.

My folks have a couple 100# tanks for their stove, the propane company fills
'em once a year or something like that.I suspect a shop heater is going to plow
through some gas. The oven in our camp will drain a 20# can in maybe 6 hours.

I will have to get the connection kit which has a hose and regulator etc. in an

I think I will drop the bottom cover and take a look and see what I can see. I
just don't see how they ran it on anything but propane. I plan on getting one
of those 100lb cylinders and running it off that and just take it down and
refill as needed. If it was converted it was not done properly
Nearly all gas fired appliances, whether they be furnaces, gas heaters, gas
stoves, dryers, etc., can be run on either LP or natural gas with minimal or no
changes. Since nearly all of these can be field converted easily, it’s not
uncommon to find them labeled for the fuel they were originally
I am really not sure why there are 2 heaters in the shop either. If I read the
label correctly I think they said they were either 14 or 16 btu which
seems like way overkill it me. I could probably just run one of them for a few
minutes and it would heat up enough to stay warm the whole
It'll burn very rich and sooty if the orifices and regulator are intended for NG
and you run LP though it.
