Just ordered a can for the oldest boy’s E300D. It held a charge for about 4-6

Isn't there a sticker on the radiator support with the vacuum system?

So the AC does not kick on in this $350 copart car with the factory

Yea but I could not make heads or tails out of it.
I did figure it out though. The vacuum line going to the vac port on
top of the first pod was connected to the out port instead, so it was
venting all of the vacuum. The line that remains disconnected was on
the vent side anyway so it

Just take the clamp off the locking mechanism and yank the whole thing off in

I tried that for 20 minutes and got nowhere. Pulled the wires and hoses
before, even turned the key to make sure the steering lock was not engaged. I
even opened the dash like a tin can and unbolted the steering shaft

The second gen W126s had an excellent sound system. If there was a negative it
was that it was underpowered and the amps would easily clip at high levels.
The later Bose systems are excellent in my opinion, and if you can get past the
understanding that they were considered state of the art
There's a guy in Portland who runs a tire shop, he does some sort of
specialized racing that uses old Saabs. Maybe that interest contributes to the
value of these. I can't think of any other reason.

What happened to the one from Wilton's car? PNP? I keep a few spares

Haven't had time for messing with the OVP relay yet, but drove the car to
work today. No tach and low idle speed again this a.m., and I also noticed
that the ABS light was on steady. After a few minutes of driving and a
shut down / restart, symptoms continued for ten seconds and then it healed

Well, replacing the lock without a working key is no joy. Have you done it? I
paid an indy almost $400 to do it 25 years ago.

The easy way to solve that is to replace the entire steering column with a
used column for which you have the key to pull out the tumbler. That's
what I did on my $500 Cabriolet.

From what I know about speaker brands (really based more on home audio rather
than car audio) I don't think that Bose speakers are anything super special. If
the current setup sounds fine I would leave it the way it is. That said, I'm
very happy with the sound of the premium system (with Bose
