I remember some needle valves from the '50s through the '70s that had
rubber tips - I suspect that those would not do well with ethanol. Rubber
was also in the fuel pumps and fuel lines. Call your congress critter and
demand an end to ethanol contaminated fuel!

The 115 was a rust magnet. Cash for clunkers filled scrap yards with /8 cars.
I scrounged a basement full of parts to try to keep my 220D road worthy
A w123 is a bit more complex and less prone to rusting to death. There are
also many more of them out on the road, as well as in parts yards.
I think the 123 is more popular because of its ease of repair and that parts
are still available. I don't know about a 124, never had any interest in the
newer models. My Indie always said the newer ones were more complicated than
necessary, harder to diagnose, and harder to repair. Remember

The 115 is even more scarce, but i do not recall them every demanding
these sorts of prices. Why are people all the sudden loving the 123?

My 06 E350 (POS) has the same problem. The Fuel Pump/s is bad as
per my Indy. I am going to take it to local dealer - they will tow it
for free if I let them repair it. I need some clarification on what the
warranty covers. Their answer was a little vague so I need to speak to

attached. as with everything, it will need to be cleaned by running or
