Seems like a cap with a deteriorated seal wouldn't be a 'major leak',
but who knows?
Maybe swap a cap over from a car that doesn't blink?
If the blinking light changes cars with the cap, there ya go.
Those are always fun.
Toss your DAS on it and see what codes are stored. At least that way you’ll
know where it’s unhappy.

Drove the vehicle this morning. Took gas cap off and put it back on, cranked
it’s several clicks. After about 20min driving the blinking light came on
again but not CEL. Stopped, car sat for a coupla hours, drove home, no blinky
light. So it must be some marginal thing.

I'm guessing it is the gas cap, but maybe some leaky hose or something

I’m betting a cracked or leaking seal on the gas cap. If it’s the original, I
would replace it just out of concern, as they’re cheap.

I wanted morels last year but never could find a one despite spending many
hours in the woods. It was really dry last year though and I think we just
didn't get them. I did find some false-morels which are fortunately fairly easy
to detect.

persists I’ll swap caps onto the wagon and see what the nanny says

Assuming it's true, it happens by running everything on a common bus
instead of separate circuits. Though I would have assumed horn and
wipers, both being critical safety components, might be more
independent.

so simple to do. There’s got to be something else that’s causing this…

If you let those get too far gone to eat, just let them dry up and stomp
