I few years ago I bought new tires for the Nissan Frontier. Drove home from the tire shop and next day driving back in to town there was a strange vibration and noise. Pulled off at a convenience store and found the lug nuts on the driver's side front wheel were lose, not even finger tight. Tightened them up, checked all the other wheels, and went on with my day. Now I always check them whenever a shop has had a wheel off. Allan Kaleb Striplin via Mercedes writes: > I mounted 4 brand new tires to the trailer last night. Re: [MBZ] Lug nuts
I always check the lugs before taking off. This time I was going to but then I didn’t because I figured I just put the wheels back on. I remember how it went down now because I lifted the back the trailer with the tractor to pull all the wheels at the same time and installed the one side hand tight, installed the other side, let trailer back down and finished tightening then forgot to go back got the first side. I figure it was habit because usually I jack one side and do it then move to the other side.
