I bought one early this year after buying my 91 300D 2.5T. It's a ~8.5x5.5
book about 1 thick filled with tech info about late models MBs. It covers
W124 starting 1/89, W126 1/89 to 6/91, W201 1/89 to 6/93, W129, 140 202
as of start of production.
It covers all the systems - such as

I'm just guessing here, but I think your problem is due to the nonop vacuum
lock system. IT has the trunk locked which bypasses anything done with the
key. I would think that everything would be right again once the battery is
charged and reconnectede.

'Merkin fakewood Ford Pinto wagon. That 2.0L 4 cyl engine with an
automatic behind it was unstoppable, that is, by anything else but a good

resting position with the key still in it, THEN turn the key CCW, and
THEN push the button in -- should un-lock the trunk, if nothing is
broken.
You can get to the battery wires from under the hood - the larger
connector
No I think it can be overriden with the key, well it can on the sedan models
anyway.

and a Bolt Hole. The Slot is near the back (i.e. Back of car) the bolt
hole is
froward of the slot.
Put the Bracket in the slot at a 90° angle insert the Football under

to find a bolt since it's missing). What happened to your wife's SD? I
couldn't imagine riding around in a 240D after having a big SD for any
length of time! However, the simplicity of having one is awefully tempting
My son replaced all five glow plugs, yesterday.
Now the glow plug light shines like it should, and the old 123 starts like a
new one.
