not match exactly the diff housing -- there are 2 bolt holes in the
housing that the cover does not have, and the cover sorta misses those
areas a bit. Would this be as intended, or might Brunnhilde have an odd

If it's a hard knock at some speeds but goes away under load then the issue
could be the flex plate that is between the flywheel torque converter.

from the bottom of the PS pump. lines appear OK. I know it's from
there, not the trans, as the PS reservoir level drops along with the
leak. At first is was pretty bad--fair-sized stain under the car. Now

It's not a mis-match, it's designed that way. The differential is tied
to the driveline. The rear cover is also the differential mount, which
is tied to the body. You can have several differential / cover
match-ups.

It is easily fixable. Just remove the pulley and pry out the seal and get a new
one from Rusty or your MB dealer. It can be hammered back in with an
