If you had a total digital system, yes the analogue would like rubbish.
Solid state will make it sound ok but tubes would be best.

If you play an analog on a digital system does it play true, or must it be
played on an analog tube system to sound really good?

Its a 1982 model with a large compressor at the lower left of the engine (
not york ) - not sure if that helps

Just like any other investment. They bought shares in the company & expect a
return. The return may be in the form of profit share or in stock growth
price or both.
