No real "valleys" around here, but it is a nice place to live. Far more

Bad glow plug, but not burned out. That 603 will start right up even
with flaky plugs at 55F.
0F is another story, and I'll get to test mine soon. I think I have
an air leak in the suction side somewhere, probably the lift pump o-
ring or fuel thermostat, it idles really rough when cold, b
'Switched bulb with known good one; still no light; bulb removed from glow
socket works in other socket.
NO glow light at any time today.

What I was trying to imply, was that the W124 ACC worked great, and was
very comfortable in OK, so perhaps it
COMAND should be fine, just be nice too it and try to avoid things like
spilling coffee into it. Unfortunately, that car has an Alpine system... I
don't know what they're doing for out of warranty repairs. Support for
Harman/Becker units is still outstanding.

Either the bulb is blown or you have a dead glow plug. If it comes on
AFTER you start, you have more than one dead glow plug.

The Kia Sportage we got stuck with at work barely made 100k miles
before it started to drive nasty. Only got 24 mpg and had a narrow
ratio tranny, too, giant PITA to drive.

Don't know yet; check 'em tomorrow. First glow problem in 9+ years with
this car; 'seemed to start normally today, but ambient temp. was nice today.
First time I've had NO glow light situation. 'Had light coming back on
after start to indicate bad plug, but never had this one.
