else is chrome plated.
And yes, I think alcohol is preferred on a boat. Some use propane but it
can be dangerous as it will settle in the bilges if it leaks and might
be accidently ignited.

Actually, what you said is true of compressed natural gas, as opposed to LP
(aka propane), which is heavier than air. The main advantage of alcohol in
marine applications (vs Diesel or kerosene) is that water extinguishes
alcohol fires pretty well. On the other hand, alcohol does not burn as hot,
I pulled into the drive, put it in park, turned off the engine, and it
started to roll back.
Fiddled with the gear shift until it managed to start, fiddled some
more, and finally got it into gear.
Drove it behind the house and into the shop. Very lucky because working
on it in the driveway in t

fumes from a spill or leak will not pool in a low spot, which could
subsequently explode or suffocate someone. On the good-bad scale, either

Actually I think the tank is brass.
Its a marine stove because it burns alcohol which doesn't give off dangerous
fumes and has a fire that can be put out with water. They made a gimbaled
platform for it too but this one doesn't seem to have it.
