True, it might need to go behind the front seats - a mid-engine car. Might
even fit in the long chassis?

The Dry Weight: pounds 2,954 pounds (1,340 kg) might make it a little
nose-heavy, too.

Whatever this $500E300 has in the way of torks has me invoking the ASR nanny

Yes, 2,433 lb-ft (3,300 Nm) would be very noticable.
It would turn an SDL into a pretzel.

The last time I was over there a few months ago, the large Wildwood truckstop

Delo is good oil. One of the top for the big trucks. Around here
typically $13/gallon or so.

Yeah, that is what I was thinking. Start it on K1 if it is cold,
then keep the veg oil warm with the heater. Switch over once the veg
oil is warm.

Traditionally, Chevron Delo400 has been sort of semi-synthetic and maybe
slightly better than Delvac1300 and RotellaT.
If 15W is suitable for a 606, go for it.

I have very much relaxed my attitude about oil over the years, if its the
correct weight and you intend to change every 3,000 miles just about anything
will do.
Angie's VW with the PD engine requires special oil but other than that...

It's been about 45 years since I had a coil break down but I still remember
the symptoms.
1. Cold engine. Starts and runs normal.
2. As engine warms up, the internal temp of the coil rises and it starts to
lose energy due to internal insulation being broken down.
3. This causes loss of ignition,
I put mine on the $500E300D the other day and was opening up the low
side valve on the car fitting, the whole damn thing screwed out of the
body and started spewing refrigerant, I managed to get it stuck back in
and screwed down hand tight then got a wrench to tighten it. Moral:

I suspect that either some cheap cheap o-ring or seal is out of order, or
maybe the valve ball or valve seat (or needle if that's the design) has
detached.

What a coincidence.
The low side valve on my ten year old HF 134a set was acting up yesterday when

Try again and very little would happen. It was as if it had an ice block in it,
but it didn't.

charging a system takes way too long. I probably need to pull it apart and

The picture matches what I have, though the numbers are different.
The unit that I have is from a 260E 1989.
The ignition should not be any different other than the vacuum control
profile, probably unimportant.

So long as the shock is in place the spring link cannot drop too far. So don't
take the shock out.
Replaced a couple rear wheel bearings on the TE a few years ago, it's not bad
other than the parking brake links, without the MB tools it's a pain to get
them all back correctly.
