Which is why I said it depends on the local prices/conditions.  That
includes the propensity of the local gas utility and oil dealers to
gouge in the event of a cold winter or a few extreme cold days.

Re: [MBZ] Natural gas vs oil?

2019-11-16 Thread Dimitri Seretakis via Mercedes
My rental house is built on sand. Some years ago the water heater was leaking
badly for a few weeks before it was replaced but the basement would not flood.
Water wouldn’t even puddle as it all drained down into the sandy earth.

My house- the one I live in just a few blocks away is also built on sand. When
I excavated for my garage build, there was about 18 inches of rich topsoil over
beautiful “beach” sand. Apparently the whole town is like this and supposedly
the result of glacial deposits.

Prices in your area will determine cost/benefit, not someone else's

truck, stink and gaining space where the tank was are considerations.
You could set up the tank behind your garage and get deliveries of #2

Knowing what is in there is 25 A, 400 V, package type "AR" you
just need to find anything that will mount and has specs no less
than the above.

I found this cross reference

You can download a phone app that will tell you noise levels. We use it at
parties or other kid establishments to show the owners when the music is

Re: [MBZ] Semi-OT

2019-11-16 Thread G Mann via Mercedes
There is a type of tire mount material that is made specifically for this
problem. I had such an issue with one rim on a truck, the tire shop applied
the "goop" material and never had an issue as long as that tire was
mounted... was advised to use it with each re-mount however.
Sorry, it's been some years and I do not recall the brand name. Surely, it
still exists since rim corrosion is an ongoing issue.
Search engine time.

Greetings and Salutations!
The wheels on my Passat 2005 leak at the rim, so, I bought 4 wheels on
craigslist .
Upon examination these also leak. (S**t)
It appears that a small amount of corrosion has crept under the paint at
the rim sealing area.
After cleaning the tire seating area, the surface looks very good.
My question is what type or brand of paint should be used to re-coat the
alloy wheel rim?
Clueless dope needs to know.
