Re: [MBZ] om648 ac compressor
So you need a signal generator that varies the signal to call for more or less cold from the compressor? Sounds like a raspberry pi project, with a simple dial and maybe a display to show the signal (I'd make the display go from 1 to 11). [MBZ] om648 ac compressor
Not to get too far into this but I have an om648 transplanted into a w123 wagon. The AC compressor is variable displacement fed by a pwm signal. It is not hooked up for this reason. Can anyone think of a way to interface that compressor to a regular thermostat? No clutch involved. An alternative would be to find a clutched compressor with the identical mount and form factor. Someone must make an aftermarket control solution for this type of compressor, though. Maybe I can figure out what the ecu uses for input signals and pirate some factory sensors from a 2006 w211 or whatever the original chassis was to mount in the 123 and drive the factory ecu through the oem wiring harness to the compressor. Re: [MBZ] VT sticker and registration just came
I'm gonna call the TitleMax guy tomorrow and see if we can get this sorted out from their end. I don't know who can check DMV though, cops I guess but I don't know any cops. I don't know if a bank can or not. I have a copy of an "eTitle" I got from TM which seems to be associated with some company, it shows that TM has this lien title or something, I suppose that is in the DMV system but I don't know. I wonder how the repo notices go out, and now that I have a plate and registration if that will flag in that system or something, show my address and all. I should put my driveway chain back up at night, and put the M4 by the front door in case any repo men show up. I need to get the ignition switch so the start position works, $21.44 at FCPEuro. I've got a momentary switch jumpered on the starter relay so I can start it that way, just a pain. The switch is under the hood for now, I looked to see if there was a hole in the firewall to run a wire through but didn't see one on a cursory look. Maybe this weekend I will see, then run the switch into the cabin. Maybe a big red start switch would be kinda cool anyway? And the LR window regulator appears to be broken, that is like $80. Don't want to put any dineros into it though until I get the title sorted. I took it out and drove it a bit and put some gas in it, it is very solid and tight, the 500 has some good ooomf. Everything works fine. Stiff ride but that is the truck/SUV nature of it I guess. Was making some kind of buzzing/grinding noise from the front, changed with speed, I thought I could feel it in the steering wheel a bit. Sounds like it could be the PS pump maybe, or the rack, or maybe the front diff or something. I don't know. I'll check fluids and what not and see if any are low or have been leaking or anything. I need to find an 05 Nav DVD too, whatever works in this unit. I have one in the 05 211 but the head units are different. I guess I could try it. It will be old but it will allow the Nav and GPS functions to work, mostly. Other than those aspects it seems fine, a really nice car. --FT On 9/17/20 4:08 PM, Meade Dillon via Mercedes wrote: OK!
