VDO is adios. SIEMENS took over 3 years ago and scraped the production of
service parts.

A local shop, exclusively VDO repairs, closed because of that.
The owner told me that. I was one of his last customers.

Do they recycle the catlyst (extract Platinumn and Rhodium) or charge for

Florida had in the 70's a elaborate inspection system, like an assembly line
with dyno and what not.
The abolished this and don't have any vehicle inspection. If you get pulled
over, the Trooper gives you one and failing results in a hefty fine.

My '82 300SD has the 722.3xx and green modulator.
I bought a 722.3xx tranny out of an '84 300SD and it has the red modulator.

Does this tab have to lign up to be on top of the switch to push it, and if,
why is mine way off ? It is passed the switch towards the seat.

I need to trouble shoot my fuel gauge/sender on the 126. Reads full at full
tank and a little below 1/2 when the reserve light comes on.
What are the specified resistance values at the full/empty positions of the
sender. It's in Job 54-269, which is not on the sorry MBFSM CD.

the relay would not
energize. Checked the capacitors and one showed continuity.
Checked it again and suddenly this capacitor tested good, the relay worked
and all is working now as it should (Auto, Max, Off, up, down).
What did I fix? Jim may be able to explain this miracle.

I always wondered about the myth that gravity bleeding would not work on
ABS, only force bleeding.
Gravity is a force, is it not?
