That's always a concern, so I "flush" with a dry gas after installing a new drier, then vacuum for minimum of thirty minutes. Can't do much more than that. Also was reading last night the modern PAG oil has "double capped" molecule now and so is not as hydroscopic. -- Max

Craig, I'm thinking that the mineral oil didn't travel too far, as the r134 won't carry it. Lines from compressor to condenser and to the drier will be flushed too, they are easy. I may add some ester oil to "bridge" the two oils, so they play well together. -- Max Dillon Cha
