My stock non-vented caps did leak fuel until I replaced the rubber
gaskets with new ones from Rusty -
Having looked at the fuel level in the filler after topping off my 300D,
I think a vented cap would weep fuel when taking left turns with a full
tank.

is going to be taking out
hundreds of phillips screws, breaking fingernails taking off sealed access
panels, and wearing out a magnaflux machine -- and that is just on the first
airframe.

? That's where I sat when
I was flying radioman. The first square window just behind the prop arc is
where I sat when I was the navigator (90% of flights).
I sure do miss flying around in those!1

AS a quick and dirty - I don't want to put more time/money than
neccesary into it - move, you could try one of the head gasket sealing
products. That engine isn't very high compression is it? Might be
worth a shot, but I'd bet against it working.
