Thanks, Jim. That's what I thought, and the throttle linkage setup sounds like the most sensible place to start. I think that this tranny (722.3xx?) also has a control cable for shift timing. Now that spring is on its way, it'll be much more pleasant to crawl under there and "see" what's up.

2 gallon oil changes in the Powerstroke. My 6.9L IDI required 10 qts, the '94 and '97 PSD's required 12/14 qts, and the '99 PSD required 15 qts. I'm not sure what the 6.0L PSD's require, but the 6.7L Cummins is somewhere around 12 qts. What's the oil capacity of the D-Max? Kevin in Hillsbor
