Several yrs ago, I was at local PNP looking for parts for '81 300D I had
then. While removing a part from a wrecked 123, I looked inside a wrecked
126 beside it and found a perfect-condition and complete set of interior
wood trim that was also a perfect match for trim in my '91 350SDL lying in a
Craig, yes, tremor is about 98% gone - very near normal, but I still have
trouble walking - a PNP trip would be really rough.

'Coupla days ago waiting at an intersection, fairly new white Lincoln
sitting very high on HUGE dia. chrome wheels with only an inch or so of

Ed, my 300D does still look much the same as it did 4, and even 21, years
ago. It still has no dings, scratches, stains, smudges, tears, rubs,
cracks, etc., but I really haven't been able to keep it as clean and waxed,
etc., as I would like. Coupla yrs ago, I had to resort to just running it
LT Don, it does look like an enjoyable bike. I even enjoyed trail 90 and 70
I had 35 yrs ago. Fly/ride safe.

The white 124 plowing the field reminds of a good lesson I had about

taking runway and before applying takeoff power to check heading, reset
heading gyro as necessary, etc? Runway 22, aircraft magnetic heading should
be 220. Runway 26, aircraft mag heading = 260, etc. If you think you're on
I think even the ''whiskey compass would tell me I'm 40 degrees off DESIRED
heading.
(For the unfamliar, whiskey compass = very basic magnetic, last resort,
compass - no gyro - suspended in alcohol, often mounted up in middle of

(This method of oil removal by suction works only if oil dipstick tube goes
to lowest point in oil pan, as in a Mercedes. Oil below bottom of dipstick
tube can't be removed by this method without sticking an oil evacuation tube
down the

3. REDUCE VACUUM. It doesn't take much. Vent vac hose if necessay to

If the oil sucker pump pulls too much vacuum, reduce it with an additional
opening in the vac hose - not the oil evac tube - the vac hose from pump/vac
to the oil receiver tank.
BTW, 5/8 x 3/8 is a standard hose.
