missing some of the control parts.
Selling as-is, probably only good for parts unless you've already got a
parts car. :) Car is located in Wilmington, NC. Make offer.

You're correct, I meant Kaleb. When I think parts, I think Rusty :)
$500 each would be a Kaleb special wouldn't it? Though I don't think he
usually pays that much for parts cars.

My 86 300SDL has a Denso 10P15C a/c compressor. I've found various
configurations of this compressor ranging in price from $35 to over $500.
The $35 fits the '87 to '94 Ford Escort. Where can I find out the
difference between the version that fits the Escort and the version that
fits the 300SDL?

Jim, have you tried a short 3/8 'wobble' extension? That will let you cock
the 3/8 extension at a slight angle and give you room to clear the crank

The '89 560SEL has begun downshifting to 3rd? gear and sticking there until

Don't order the $139 A/C compressor that Autozone has listed for the 300SDL;
it's not the correct part. Expect to pay $450+ for the right one from

Hi, Jim
Noticed you were looking for KLIMA failure modes. My '89 560SEL unit had a
cracked solder connection on the board at the compressor clutch output pin
that caused intermittent shutdown of the A/C. Reflowing the solder resolved
the issue.

it with biodiesel yet, as I have yet to brew my first batch. Oh,
In answer to Tom's question about what pressure should be seen on the low

Hi, Kaleb.
To check for a plugged cat, attach a vacuum gauge to the intake manifold

overly rich mixture. Unburned fuel in the exhaust stream
