[MBZ] Gave up on the Okie alignment for now
Today I went back and made sure I had the steering wheel centered to the rack, which I do not think I did initially. I also did a better job of evening out the tie rods. Got machine all setup again and still getting that damn error for the RF sensor saying tow transducer has a problem. None of the beams were showing blocked though. It has a beam in each sensor head and I guess a receiver at the other end, so a beam goes front to back, and back to front etc. Since it’s indicating the RF I assume it’s the receiving end of the beam from the back. At one point I got in the car and decided to try steering the wheel back and forth a little bit. Start turning it too far one way and the beam is blocked, same for the other direction. Just as I was about to give up I had the wheel turned a little to the right and suddenly the error cleared and all readings popped up. I climbed out of the car and but the time I got out error had returned. I messed around with it a little longer but gave up. Going to see if I can get car in somewhere tomorrow morning to do an alignment. Car drives straight enough to get there. Next up I decided to throw my 85 300D on the rack and hook it up. Perhaps there was still something way off with the 99. The 123 does the same thing with that error. Only thing I can’t think of at this point is that sensor head is dirty on the receiver, which it doesn’t appear to be. Sensor is out of calibration maybe? Or perhaps the beam receiver is bad somehow. I really don’t think it’s operator error at this point. I might see if I can get the local hunter rep to calibrate and/or how much that will cost. Otherwise I may keep my eyes open for another set of heads or even another machine that could be used for parts, or whatever. Avoid or explore? [MBZ] Pressure washers
I think my gas powered Troy built power washer is fubar. Pump might be locking up. I have had it probably 3-4 years but not used it that much. Last year it was working fine but the last time I tried to use it, it would start up but as soon as I pulled the trigger it would bog down and kill the engine. Yesterday I got it out and it fired right up after the first pull and ran fine for a couple of minutes then slowed down and died. Pulling the cord the motor felt like it had a load on it and would start but immediately die. After a couple of times at this then I couldn’t pull it fast enough to get it to start. If I pulled the trigger on the gun engine would turn over more freely and would start then die. Maybe it was taking water pressure off the pump. Reading the manual it says no maintenance is required and pump is sealed for life. I hen admittedly not maintained it by the book. I believe you are supposed to drain the water out of the pump after use and saw something about squirting pump saver into it for winter storage. I usually just unhooked the hoses then rolled it into the garage. Anything I can do with this thing or is it fubar? [MBZ] I am pretty sure I used to own this car
I really regretted selling it. If it is the same car I bought it with it jumped time and not running. I never got around to it and sold it. The car was MUCH nicer when I owned it. Interior was perfect. Paint was perfect except for the dent in the trunk. I will have to dig thru my pics and see if I can find this car.
