Curt, is yours the 190D turbo or 2.2? What year? Miles on the odometer??
I could reliably get 39-40 mpg on the highway (averaging ~60-65 mph)
from my 190D 2.2 5 spd. My 190D 2.2 auto (even with the same engine in
it that was in the 2.2 5 spd) delivered 36-37 mpg.
the RPMs way up just makes me want to drive fast.
This car is also alot quieter than my 240D was... I haven't even put in the
replacement hood pad yet.

'85 190D 2.2l 5spd manual.
Much more peppy feeling than my 240D was and the mileage is about what I
wanted when I bought it.
If I could make myself slow down it'd be better. I run 110 miles a day at
65-90mph.
The OM601 sounds so good wound out and the car scoots along so good if I

Carefully driven a 220D will give about 1 mpg better mileage than a 240D
everything else being equal.

If anyone is interested 1979 240D, which I log in every tank full is
getting
around 27 to 28 mpg
calculate it out. Winter, City, Snow all contribute to pretty
poor mileage.

Our company has never (I'm treading lightly with this word) been litigated for

It usually happens suddenly, and rarely you can tell by looking at the tire.
