Beru, that's the "good" brand. Bigger beefier "nut" part, and Beru
publishes a maximum loosening torque of 45 Nm IIRC. I could find no such
torque published for Bosch.

Bosch are not as good as the other brand that I can't remember the name
right now. Bosch was not the factory installed glow plug in the OM606.

What brand plugs are you installing? I went with Beru, they are the OEM
and seem to last a long time. I think they also are pretty strong and less
likely to break upon removal.

Probably not skipped. Number 6 is a demon from hell, cursed by the all mighty.
For some reason the OM606 engine will coke up the #6 and not let it go. Both
times I had to deal with them in the E300D, the head came off so the GP could
be removed.

I'm finally getting around to replacing the glow plugs in my 97 e300. 1-5 came
out easy with no issues, and look like recent ngk plugs, no carbon build up at
all. I don't know anything about these so assume they fail early. I get to #6
and it is stuck good. I'm working it back and forth now. I a

I was able to remove all 6 glow plugs from my 98 e300 without
breaking any. 3 of they were stuck in there good but lots of
tightening and loosening, and gentle wiggling back and forth along
with pb blaster got them out. I can see where it would be easy to
screw up that job and break one off.
When it's time for new plugs in my sedan, you (Kaleb) should come visit me and

Hot. I ran engine for quite a while with the manifold off to get it to
operating temp.
