Re: [MBZ] Don't these things usually sell for a lot more than this?

2016-06-08 Thread Joel Cairo via Mercedes
The Law Offices of Dewey, Cheatem, and Howe were in a third floor office
overlooking Hahvahd Squayuh, the building at one point was renovated and
they put the window back that had the lettering on it. It's right next
to where the T station is. Those radio idiots say they set it up but it
was there for a long time before they got going. (They, BTW, were
a**holes too at their shop)

There used to be a bar down the street called 33 Dunster St where you
could get cheap beer, but you had to keep an eye on it so the
cockroaches wouldn't carry it away. It got bought and renovated into
the John Harvard Brew Pub, which is (was) pretty good but none of the
"charm" remained. The whole area got totally yuppified.

It indeed has an improper certificate.

The certificate is only valid for the following names:

You've done quite well responding to others. What you may do for yourself
and the rest of us by initiating a topic is unlimited. Initiate some emails
and send 'em to mercedes@okiebenz.com and SOAR even higher and farther.

Take us with you on a "journey" that you initiate.

Yes Ed,
In all the years as a member on this site, I've never posted a thread,
only

responded, because I have never been able to find a "post here" link from
the Home Page, if that's the right name for it.

I always just wrote it off as my own lack of "geekness" .. but now it
seems

there is perhaps some structural issue that keeps it from allowing access?

Above my pay grade in any case..

About a month ago.. I bought and installed one of the Black Box dash
cameras we spoke about in a thread.. 4 days ago, while driving the speed
limit down a straight stretch of highway.. I got hit in the rear with
enough force to drive the car 1000 ft forward, across oncoming traffic,
into a block wall all now on video, because the camera was on when
ever

the car was running.. Thought I would post a link of the crash, as it
happened, with sound from the built in mic in the camera, just so members
could see it..

The car that hit mine was totaled, mine can be repaired, maybe. The
lawyers

and doctors are ecstatic at having it all on video. The police are very
convinced of my version of the event after viewing the video.
I think the camera just paid for it's self.

No joy on being able to post a thread.. Ohhh well. It will keep for now.

2016-06-07 Thread Joel Cairo via Mercedes
I have been using mine too, not a bad little device for the $50 I paid
for it. Mine is plugged into a ciggy port on the Sub, I'm not sure it
is switched or not, it ran down the battery on the vehicle when I was
gone and left it plugged in but turned off. So now I just yank out the
plug.

Did you have yours set up to look backwards? Or just the forward view?
I turned off the sound on mine.

On your email, you don't use a mail client for your emails? Just off
the web site?

Wouldn't let me in either because it said my Java was out of date and
had to be updated.
I have been avoiding updating because I use a program that is often not
up to date and won't play nice with the newest forms of Java.
It is a pain trying to go back downwards after updating so I avoid it as

I've not seen it before. However, I know I have to go through this with all

Didn't use to be this way, but every new revision of Java gets tighter

Kaleb..
Agreed, the photo setting certainly looks like Oklahoma. The phone number
is Arizona.. Wonder why the title is lost.. ha.

Pretty decent shape .. from the photos.. no gaping rust holes, etc..
Someone should snag it.

On another note.. I have never been able to post a new thread directly from
the www.oakiebenz.com site... Finally discovered that Java security has the
menu items that would allow that blocked.

Anyone of the computer guru's here "splain" how I can reconfigure to post ?
I would be ever so grateful.
