My washer has a clean cycle, I put it in and run that. For my dishwasher, I
just fill the detergent cup and let it run a cycle.

Makes everything nice and fresh!

I used to buy the little tubes of lemonade mix, generic KoolAid, and use it,
but when I was getting a jar lifter from the canning section for Mrs. Dan a few
years ago I saw a container of it on the shelf. Apparently, it’s can be used in
the canning process for some vegetables. Big container for something like $6. I
jumped on that.

Just freshened up the washing machine and dishwasher the other day.

And to clarify, after you refill with plain water, drive it for a day or two
before you drain and refill it with fresh premix. That can help clean stuff out
and dilute whatever remains of the old coolant to the point where it’s pretty
much gone.

I got the $80 Dorman tank. As I begin to drain the leaky tank I see the coolant is green. Is green correct? I thought is was supposed to be blue? Of course I haven’t messed with anything coolant related in quite some time, so I could be wrong. Right now I’m going to pause and watch the Blue Angels get some practice in for their airshow tomorrow over at the Air Force Base.AZBobSent from my iPhoneOn Mar 21, 2024, at 1:43 PM, Buggered Benzmail via Mercedes wrote:I replaced one on my ML500 and it was like $38 or so if I recall. "He’s dead, Jim."

I suspect there aren’t any in Paragon and they’l have to bring some over from
the Fatherland.

To be honest, if I could see and touch the Dorman part, I would seriously
consider it. Something as basic as a coolant reservoir is pretty tough to muck
up, unless it’s Üro. Paying double that for OE borders on silly.

As much as I advocate for OE parts, there is a limit.

Overall, I have had good service with Dorman products.
In the daisy chain of chineseium, Dorman has been generally at a higher
quality standard.
Pick one up at the seller's, inspect it, walk it out to the car and do a
point by point comparison as to fitment.. Then decide.
Having it in your hand before you buy it is golden..
