Was under the back seat of the 400E yesterday and noticed that the fuel pump
relay looked weird, as in it looks like a regular Bosch relay and doesn’t have
a fuse in it. The top of the relay case is painted blue as if it was done that
way at the factory.
I’m wondering if someone changed it
Merc ones use a 7 or 8 pin set up.

I think that most M/B fuel pump relays also have a shutoff circuit that
limits the RPMs the engine can spin. If you exceed the set point it shuts
off the power to the fuel pump till the RPMs come back in range. Because of
that anti-overrev feature you may find many different
How much did the relay cost, if you don't mind me asking? I got one
replaced
a few years ago in a 86 190E and it was about AU$500,..
Dog my cats!! I bought a DME/fuel pump relay as a spare for my Porsche a few
years back. Cost me $21.00 US. Just two relays in one can with a common 12V
