I have my 1990 300SE back in the shop. It stalls when idling, especially after
warming up, usually at intersections, etc. The repair shop tells me I need an
Idle Speed Control Motor ($420) - installed for $510 - and an EGR valve. The
EGR valve is no problem for me. But the ISCM is a new
Buy one from Rusty, would be a heck of alot cheaper. Takes about 5
minutes to change it.

EGR valve is no problem for me. But the ISCM is a new one on me. Is
the ISCM different than the Idle Control Valve?
No, same thing. They wear and get sticky, especially since they live
in a rather harsh place.
Would it make sense to get an ISCM from a salvage yard - or should I
get a new
