Re: [MBZ] O.T. GM in Dark Ages
It was really nice there...a little windy yesterday. Hung out near the high school/Palm Canyon Drive. Watched my daughter in a Christmas show. Had the strongest margarita in my life at a place called Mariposa on Palm Canyon drive. Mercy. Nothing, I suppose...I just thought that everyone was going to the controls on the steering wheel. I lead a very sheltered life. Bob R - Original Message - From: Kaleb C. Re: [MBZ] O.T. GM in Dark Ages
I'm not sure...I've never had one newer than '86. At least MB uses a stalk that is for cruise only. No cheesy push button and slide switch. The cruise on the '01 Bug was the same way come to think of it... I never did figure out one until I reached my destination and asked the guy to whom I gave the keys. (And of course, they don't leave the owner's manual in the glove box.) Craig

Kaleb C. Striplin wrote: I guess I dont see whats wrong with having the cruise controls on the turn signal The only problem I ever had was with an old Astro that belonged to a friend. I had to drive it 400 miles in intermittent rain to pick his family up at the end of a bike ride. Every time I hit the turn signal or the wipers, the cruise control would disengage, due to a bad wire or connection inside the stalk assembly. Never a moment's trouble with my old Mopars or my parents' GM cars. You just have to know which part of the stalk does which function when turn signal, hi/low beam, wiper, washer, and CC are all on the same stalk. Mitch.
