about an hour away and it was $200. Guess I could have it sent there. If you do 
that, do you just pay online and all that and they send the car? So in other

pickup/storage concerns. 

Flatbed to Denham Springs is $139 and CoPart will handle the arrangements, the 
same as it costs from Ionia to me. They must have a minimum charge that covers 
the first 50 miles or so.

If Russ wants to inspect it, he'll either have to register (free) or 
successfully impersonate Kaleb after Kaleb registers. A couple of months ago 
Ionia Michigan started demanding ID and checking the computer to make sure the 
member number matched the name on the ID. I can still ask for the sign-in book 
at Lansing and write my info in the book without them verifying it, so it's not 
a company wide policy, or more likely, the policy isn't observed company wide.  
But if the key isn't in the car (sometimes they take the key out of the car a 
day or two before the action, sometimes the key was always kept in the file), 
he'll need to exchange his ID for a key to be able to start it. 

Oops, I just checked and it falls off my display if I filter for cars that run. 
That means they didn't or couldn't start it. It doesn't bear either the 'engine 
starts' or the 'runs and drives' flag. It's possible that it runs and drives, 
it's possible that Russ can jump it and drive it, and it's possible you'll have 
to pay for a tow, but a tow is cheaper than a week's storage. Engine start 
guarantee means we turned the key and it started the day we turned the key, not 
that it'll start the day you pick it up. Runs and drives means it started, went 
a couple feet forward, and a couple feet backward.

So in this particular case do you think it would be best to bid on it 
and see what happens, make a lower offer, buy it now? Unless somebody 
was close that could get the car for me and park it at their place I

the gate code, but maybe they would. You could just pay the $700 or whatever 
they want for delivery, but that would nearly double the price of the car.

My ML came from state farm insurance but the carfax was clean when I bought it. 
Now it says 'salvage auction' on carfax. 
Since it was a comprehensive claim (deer collision), it doesn't have a 
collision history.

The grille shell and hood ornament are missing but I do not see any 
damage.  The plastic cover over the aux fans is even in tact. What is 
the brown looking mark in the drivers side headlight?  The carfax does 
show it registered in a fema flood area from 2005 but does not say it 
was flood damaged, just that it was registered in the area.

its a 1 owner vehicle has had extensive dealer service it appears.

So you're within 5 miles of that CoPart yard?
The rodbender has a clean title and you can buy it without a business license. 
Buyer's fees for Buy-It-Now are $294, plus $39 if you bid on the internet, the 
$39 fee doesn't apply if you bid from the kiosk at the yard. 
It looks like a decent $900 car to me, if it's not burning oil yet.
