It wasn’t until a few months ago that Amazon started doing its own last-mile
delivery in Flagstaff. Years prior to that everything was delegated to the USPS
and occasionally UPS. If I wanted something from Amazon, I would have to order

and instead of giving my food on a tray or whatever like normal, it’s all
bagged up like it’s to go and creates a lot of waste. Seems like this would be
much more expensive too paying for this packaging.

FedEx used to route everything through Memphis even if it was going from one
California address to another California address. They just optimized on
sorting all items at one hub.
I'm guessing they have more hubs now but that's probably the reason packages
seem to be going way out of the way.
Here lately just about every single thing I have coming from FedEx is delayed.
