I think the price increase in the 15w50 weight has to do with the new marketing scheme Mobil has going. They now market various extended interval oils. The list preference these days seems to be Truck and SUV 5W40. Supposedly repackaged Delvac 1. I got that a while back at Walmart for under $20

Went to change oil and noticed since last year a not on "sale" 5 quart jug of 15W/50 Mobil 1 sysnthetic has jumped in the last year form $19 something to $25 something dollars at the local Walmart. That is an increase of $6.00 or 30%. Just thought I would pass on this little gouge observation.
